Skinny Dip Ring
I do like a challenge and this pebble proved an interesting one. A somewhat more chunky piece of jewellery than I normally make, it is certainly a statement with quite an amusing story behind it!
I was commissioned to make this 40th birthday present to replace a very special fossil ring that had got lost in the sea when a group of friends had a beach party and went skinny dipping. Upset and feeling that the loss of their friend’s ring (with huge romantic and sentimental value) had been their fault they picked up a pebble from the beach and vowed to somehow make amends. The Skinny Dip Ring is the result!
A wide hammered silver shank and deep base set off the black Cornish pebble. Wide flat claws hold the stone in place.
