Green Amber Silver Shell Necklace
This necklace is totally unique and one of the very first project pieces I made whilst training. I was inspired by a segmented sea shell and the green amber cabochons are placed where the void in the original cut away shell was. When I made this I didn’t know anything about green amber, but I was struck by the soft green hue and flecks of gold and black in them, feeling that they were perfect to represent the sea and seaweed. The 3 sections of the pendant are hanging on interwoven ribbons and a string of tiny glass beads which I encased in folded cones of silver before finishing with a handmade silver scroll hook for a special finishing touch.
