Textured Open Bangle

This bangle was commissioned as a Christmas gift by Joe’s mum who had seen my jewellery at an Artisan Market. I often get commissions after people have seen my jewellery at events and I believe that being able to actually hold pieces, look at them in detail and talk directly to me about the process and ideas behind each piece sparks ideas and gives people the confidence to initiate the commissioning process.

Joe himself, had been looking at bangles and had been ready to purchase one from a High Street store when his mum suggested that he have one made for him. She was able to give me a clear idea about what he was looking for, selecting a specific texture that I had used on another piece and the design of a similar open style bangle that I had made in a heavier gauge. It really was a question of mix and match to create a totally new and unique piece. Joe works as an architect and as a creative professional, I was a little nervous that it may not have been exactly what he had wanted but it was in fact perfect.
